A buffalo hide/parfleche dance shield, painted in red, white and green, with a stylized horned head that likely represents the buffalo spirit, encircled by lightning bolts. Ornamented with buffalo hair and dyed domestic goose feathers. Made at Fort Marian by Making Medicine, also known as "Owl".
