SF2052 Sioux/Cree Tobacco Bag Sioux/Cree Tobacco Bag, c. 19th century Two beaded panels representing each tribe. One side is beaded in iridescent bars of green and clear, surrounded by bars of yellow, red, apple green and cobalt. The verso is beaded in a typical Cree floral design of pink, red, yellow and green on a white beaded panel edged in olive and yellow beads and at the bottom is a panel of light blue translucent beads with stepped diamonds of cobalt, red and clear green. Hide fringe decorates the bottom and six beaded flaps decorate the mouth of the bag. 5 1/2" Wide 22" Long. $4200.00 |
